Poem 90: Love Can You Steal
love can you steal for me
time enough
to mend the wings of children
(from fairie to myth)
of all the children
my dreams have given birth to
you only know
what kingdoms they have to see
with real kings in store
(kindly)
and limited seasons for flying
love pray for them
the table has been squared
and the kingdoms are going.
love can you steal for me
time enough
to stretch one last sun day for lovers
(from heart to eye)
for all the lovers
my dreams have given court to
you only know
what sunsets they have to see
with real colours in store
(frailty)
and limited seasons for sighing
love pray for them
the clouds are not so far
and the sunsets are going.
and love can you steal for me
time enough
to hold the peace of angels
(from inner to outer)
of all the angels
my dreams have given credence to
you only know
what visions they have to see
with real creations in store
(perfectly)
and limited seasons for believing
love pray for them
the light has an edge
and the visions are going.
